Agitprop

The definition of agitprop is:

Political propaganda, especially favoring communism and disseminated through literature. drama, art, or music.  The word itself comes from the Russian phrase otdel AGITsii i PROPagandy  (Department for Agitation and Propaganda). Thus, the word originally implied agitation and propagandizing for communism, but as it used today, agitprop refers to any propaganda disseminated through art or popular culture.

For example, the movie The Day After Tomorrow is  agitprop for the global warming/environmentalist movement.
